I was back up to Pocahontas, Virginia yesterday and sadly learned that several of the old buildings I have photographed are now gone.
This image of the shell of the company store is all I have to remember the building because where it stood is an almost vacant lot. It just reminded me of how important photographs can be in recording the history of a place.
A place designed to discuss the nature of photography as part of the digital age. Where is photography going? Is it still important? The blog covers the process of shooting, editing, archiving, and managing digital photographs. It also includes the author's musings on the state of photography today.

Three is a magic number!!!
January has been a great time for me as a fine art photographer. My work is on display at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art New Waves 2013 exhibit, at the Kiernan Gallery Methods (Alternative) exhibit, and the Nelson Gallery included me in the MFA/MA Juried show.
Just a few more months and I should finish my MFA at Radford University.
